Who We Are

In August of 2009, the seeds were planted for a free Shakespeare festival at L.L.Bean Discovery Park. A year later, our first production opened to a crowd of over 2500 people in four nights.

Our founding artistic director, Julie George-Carlson, is building the organization to include year round programming including children's theater outreach and education. In addition, the organization has long-range plans to grow into a major cultural destination with a permanent performing arts center in the early planning stages.
